Wedding Reception

Several weeks ago we had our wedding reception.  Like, July 9th.  So it's probably time for me to tell you about that before I completely forget all the little details.  It was wonderful, really--we had friends and family come from all over Tennessee and Georgia and even a few from Kentucky.  There was amazing food catered by Ryan's Aunt Judy and her daughter Carla.  There were amazing cakes provided by a friend of the family: a lovely white sheet cake reminiscent of our wedding cake, a raccoon cake to commemorate...well...our wedding cake, and Ryan had a little Magic the Gathering cake as well.  So when I tell you that we really like cake....you know I'm fo' realz.

Okay, so honestly, how cute is that??

But of course.

Me?  Hovering?  Over cake?  Never...

Lurve.
So after the big sha-bang, my side of the family came back to our house and visited for a few hours before heading on to the family cabin in Gatlinburg.  It was nothing remarkable, but it was awfully special to me.  I was never close to my extended  growing up, so it means so much to me getting to know them now--and for the record, I have pretty awesome family.  Awesomeness, it's in the Stone family's blood.  See exhibit below:

Minor photo shopping may or may not have occurred.  (Erika does, in fact, walk around wielding a giant shield proclaiming our cousinly love.)
And our Dads and their brother showed that they are obviously of the same ilk as well.

They could be twins...

Presents!  (Because honestly, who doesn't love presents??)

Anyway, it was a blast and it made me even more thankful for who I am and what amazing family and friends I have.  Speaking of being thankful, I haven't read/gotten a hold of a good devotional-type book since I've gotten married.  Any ideas or suggestions?  I've browsed online, but I really want some personal recommendations.

And, I'll turn in for the night to watch the premiere of Project Runway.  Gotta pick my fave!
